The purpose of the Port Clements Historical Society is to collect, research, and preserve the logging,

pioneering, mining, and fishing history of the area.

We are very fortunate for the islands residents and people that work in the forest surrounding

us for taking an interest in history and bringing items to the museum.  Local historian and

author, Kathleen Dalzell, is a member of the museum and through her research she was

able to record a considerable amount of this history in speaking to the men and woman that

actually lived this era. She has generously given us permission to use her research material.

If you scroll down the side bar menu you will get a glimpse of some of the history recorded.
